Around Africa on motorcycle: Kenyan riders arrive in Congo on motorbikes
Audio By Vocalize
The six Kenyan riders rode through the towns of Congo and the countryside – meeting the lovely people of Congo and experiencing their food and culture.
They went through Pointe-Noire — a port city and oil industry hub in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It’s also known for its beaches.
Other towns they visited included Odziba, Dolsie, Madingou, capital Kinshasa, Ouesso, Idris, Oyo and Makoua.
The team crossed into Congo from Angola, having previously been in Zambia, Lesotho and South Africa.
The riders have already visited Ethiopia, Djibouti, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, among others.
They left Kenya on December 12, 2024, with the mission of traveling to the four extreme points of Africa—the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western parts of the continent, all on motorbikes.
The six-month-long journey is meant to raise money to fund the education of over 500 students through the LOGOS Educational Endowment Fund, established in 2008.
Pastor Nick Korir of Nairobi Chapel, who is leading the six riders, says the LOGOS fund goes beyond academic performance, focusing on mentorship, character formation, empowerment and holistic transformation of students.
This episode entails how they toured the second largest country in Africa, and the 11th in the world.
