15 suspected Al-Shabaab terrorists killed by security forces in Boni Forest

According to reports, the security forces tracked the suspects to their hideout after following their footprints.
It is believed that the suspects were planning and executing the spate of raids that have rocked Lamu in recent weeks from their hideout.
Lamu has experienced a wave of attacks in recent weeks that left 15 civilians dead and more than 15 homes razed to the ground.
The festering security situation has seen the Kenyan gov’t impose a 30-day curfew in several regions that had been classified ‘disturbed areas’ by the Interior Ministry.
Kenyan security forces have been combating an Al-Shabaab affiliate known as Jeshi la Ayman, which is thought to operate out of the vast Boni forest, since 2014.
