51 suspects arrested in Kisauni in crackdown on criminal gangs

Fifty-one suspects have been arrested in Kisauni, Mombasa County following a comprehensive multi-agency operation aimed at dismantling criminal gangs, including the notorious Panga Boys.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the operation targeted several neighbourhoods of Corner Ya Kisauni, Jocham Hospital, Barisheba, Sunlight, Mwandoni, Junda, Cobra, and Kadongo Grounds.
"Five tuk-tuks, believed to be used in phone snatching, were seized in the course of the operation," said the DCI.
The suspects were detained at Mjambere police station pending arraignment.
