Basketball lovers are in for a treat this evening when the crème dela crème of Kenya National Basketball Men’s Premier League clash in the fancied 2023 Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) All-Star Weekend extravaganza at Nyayo Gymnasium, Nairobi. 

The epic showdown of skill, swagger and sizzling slam dunks, highlighted by events like the Dunk Contest and the Veteran All Stars game will be climaxed by the blockbuster All-Star clash pitting the East and West teams slated for 8.00 p.m. tip-off.

The Veteran All Stars match will get the events of the day underway at 6.00 p.m. followed by the All Stars clash at 8.00 p.m. before the Dunk Contest at 10.00 p.m.

The winner of the slum dunk contest will pocket Ksh. 10,000 prize money.

The East team will feature Nairobi City Thunder’s trio of Garang Diing, Dismas Osongo and Fidel Okoth, Kenya Ports Authority’s duo of Eugene Adera and Job Byron, Equity Dumas’s duo of Davis Siaji and Victor Ochieng, Morgan Niva (University of Nairobi Terrorists), Albert Odero (Invitee), Geoffrey Odhiambo (ABSA) Elisha Odhiambo (Ulinzi Warriors) and Mabera Kuol all under the tutelage of KPA tactician Sammy Kiki, UoN’s Dr Eugine Genga and Equity Dumas’ Isaac Munyoki.

The West will be coached by coaches George Mayienga (USIU) Ancet Wafula (Morans Ass.) and Brad Ibs (Nairobi City Thunder Twende) and will feature Nairobi City Thunder’s quadruple of skipper Griffin Ligare, Faheem Juma, Ariel Okall, and Ariel Ortega, Blazers duo of Jordi Handa and Dennis Koja, Lenox Wanje (KPA), Stephen Simiyu (Ulinzi Warriors), Victor Bosire (Equity Dumas) Brans Nzioka (Ulinzi Warriors, Ivan Ombiri (Equity Dumas) and Bram Muchina (Invitee).

The players will also fight for the KBF All-Stars Game Most Valuable Player (MVP) gong, awarded to the clash’s most outstanding player.
