Bandari FC have on Thursday fired head coach Mohammed Borji and his assistant Tarik Bendamou — barely two months after their grand arrival.

The sudden exit of the Moroccan duo was confirmed by club CEO Tony Kibwana, who released a firm but diplomatic statement wishing the coaches well as the club charts a new course.

“This decision follows a review of the team’s technical direction as the club focuses on re-strategising its performance,” Kibwana announced, adding gratitude for the pair’s brief contribution.

Borji, appointed on October 6 after the dismissal of Ken Odhiambo, leaves after a turbulent run of eight matches that produced just one win, five draws, and two defeats.

In the wake of the abrupt shake-up, all eyes now turn to goalkeeper trainer Razak Siwa, who has been thrust into the spotlight and is expected to command the touchline when Bandari battles Gor Mahia tomorrow (Friday) at Mbaraki Stadium.

The CEO further hinted at major shifts ahead:

“The club will in the coming days announce the new technical arrangements.”

Bandari’s struggles have been no secret—only two wins all season: one under interim coach John Baraza against Murang’a Seal, and one under Borji last month.

The Dockers are languishing in 14th place on the KPL log with 12 points from 11 matches.
