The body of a man who was reported missing six days ago has been found in Nabalaki area located in  Bwari, Funyula constituency in Busia County.

According to Emmanuel Barasa, brother of the late Elvis Lagira, the deceased was last seen at a local drinking spot before his body was discovered.

The decomposing body showed signs of severe injuries, including multiple cuts, and some parts of his body appeared to be missing.

Speaking at their home in Bunandi village, the family is calling for a thorough investigation.

According to them, the body was found next to a liquor shop owned by an individual suspected to have a romantic relationship with the deceased for over a year.

Samia police boss Richard Moracha confirmed the incident saying that the body has been taken to Nangina mortuary pending an autopsy.
