Legendary rapper Collo and celebrated crooner Nviiri the Storyteller are set to ignite Nairobi this Saturday as the second edition of AfroLatin Tamasha rolls into Redroom at Adlife Plaza, Kilimani.

The night promises a nostalgic blast fused with fresh energy, as Collo gears up to perform his new track ‘Rematch’ alongside fan favourites like ‘Girl Like You’ and ‘Floss na Wewe.’

Nviiri will bring his unmistakable charm with chart-toppers such as ‘Pombe Sigara’, setting the tone for an evening stitched together by rhythm and revelry.

Adding fuel to the fire is East Africa’s own Ritmo Connexion, a dynamic collective known for weaving Afro-Latin sounds into an irresistible live-stage experience.

The ensemble features Mike Jozee, Sanchez Salvador, Niyo Boi, Shirleen Ishenyi, Keisha Harris, Moses Karanja and more, each adding a distinct thread to the festival’s musical tapestry.

This year’s theme, ‘Celebrating Rhythm, Culture and Connection,’ comes alive through a packed lineup drawn from eight countries; Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, South Africa, Ghana, France, Tunisia, and Kenya.

Attendees will also be treated to a performance from Malindi’s famed Kikwetu dancers, bringing a coastal flourish to the night.

AfroLatin Tamasha has carved out a niche as a Pan-African cultural showcase championing the fusion of African and Latin American sounds.

Now in its second edition, the festival attracts more than 7,000 dancers, music lovers and cultural enthusiasts from across the region.

The experience blends live Afrobeat, salsa, kizomba, bachata, semba and more with the spectacle of social dance; a vibrant, fast-moving celebration of movement and identity.

Holding the musical fort will be Nairobi’s top DJs, including Jam Mixmaster Dan the DJ and DJ D’Cure, who will keep the floor warm with everything from Bachata to Kompa. High-energy Afrobeat dancers will further electrify the night with visually striking performances.

According to the event’s founder, Robert Munene, the festival is part of a bigger dream; one rooted in connection, culture and wellness.

“AfroLatin Tamasha 2.0 is an essential step towards our larger vision: connecting artists across East and Southern Africa, promoting wellness through dance, and turning rhythm into livelihood. We've curated an evening that promises even more excitement and showcases the vibrant fusion of African and Latin cultures through music and dance, reinforcing Nairobi as a regional hub for this movement,” he said.

He added that the event is designed to bring people together in a shared celebration of art and expression.

“This event is about creating regular opportunities for our community to connect, celebrate, and experience the richness of Afro-Latin culture. We invite everyone, from seasoned dancers to those simply curious, to join us for a night of unforgettable music and dance,” Munene noted.
