Eagle Wings tactician Everline Kedogo is keen to reach the quarter finals of the Basketball League after guiding her charges to a 46-37 victory over varsity side KU Oryx in Sunday’s tie at Nyayo National Gymnasium.

The former champs are now remaining with four matches against KPA, ANU, Tangit Sparks and UON Dynamites of which buoyant Kedogo is aiming to chalk up three straight wins to claim a spot among the top eight teams.

“’I’ m quite sure I can win matches against ANU, Tangit Sparks and UON Dynamites but I won’t talk about KPA because it is quite a tough side but we will fight to get the best out of that match,” Kedogo said of her team’s chances.

At the same time, Kedogo attributes her side’s downfall to fewer sessions of squad training due to lack of quorum but is still hopeful of crushing Tangit Sparks and the two varsity sides.

“Most of my players work with different companies and currently some of them are out of the city so it’s hard to find the full team training together,” he said.

Kedogo’s charges gave a spirited performance in Saturday’s 59-42 loss to reigning champs Equity Hawks, a match which saw Wings player Eunice Ouma score game-high 16 points.
