Explosions as fire razes police houses in Nairobi

There was panic on Friday morning after fire gutted down 54 police houses inside Central Police Station compound in Nairobi.

Reports of explosions were reported as the fire razed for hours sending panic in the area with many fearing the fire would spread to other buildings.

Traffic was affected as police blocked the road outside the police station to make way fire fighters.

The fire was finally put out at 10 am. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
