Families continue to count losses as houses were buried by the loose ground.
Vincent Rono a resident from Kasaka said that there are fears that if the rains continue to ponder several people might be affected.
County Director for Disaster and Risk Management Michael Baimet has called upon the residents from affected areas to move to safe and high grounds to Avert loss of lives as the county looks for interventions.
Elsewhere, in Mogotio Sub County, River Molo has broken its banks rendering the roads impassable as locals living near the river have been urged to take precaution and relocate to safer grounds.
The warning comes as the Kenya Meteorological Department issued a heavy rainfall advisory for Nairobi and surrounding areas, running until Monday morning, forecasting moderate to heavy rainfall of more than 20 millimetres within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the Water Resources Authority (WRA) has warned residents living downstream of Nairobi Dam of an imminent flood risk, citing rising water levels that could breach the dam embankment amid continued heavy rainfall.
WRA Nairobi Sub-Regional Coordinator Noel Ndeti said part of the dam’s earthen barrier is at risk of being washed away due to the ongoing rains.
Areas listed under the evacuation advisory include Kibera, Nyayo Highrise, Dam Estate, Lang’ata, Nairobi West and Madaraka.
