First shipment of Ukrainian food aid arrives in Kenya
Ukraine consistently continues to implement the ‘Food from Ukraine’ initiative in cooperation with international partners and specialized organizations of the UN system.

The first consignment of food in the amount of 2,635 tons has
arrived in Kenya as part of the humanitarian initiative of the President of
Ukraine.
The total volume of the consignment of food is over 3,600
tons.
The cargo was delivered in coordination with the UN World Food
Programme (WFP), which will ensure its further distribution among the most
vulnerable categories of the population, in particular refugees in the Dadaab
and Kakuma camps.
The financing of the costs was provided by the Republic of
Slovenia and the Republic of Austria.
The cargo handover ceremony took place at the port of Mombasa
with the participation of the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Kenya
Yuriy Tokar, the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia Kristina Radej, and a representatives
of the WFP in Kenya.
