Five people killed after truck rams matatu on Nairobi-Nakuru highway

A Bungoma-bound matatu belonging to North Rift Shuttle was involved in a road accident at Kikopey after it was hit from behind by a truck that reportedly lost control.

According to police, there was another truck ahead of the matatu at the time of the crash, causing the public service vehicle to be sandwiched between the two trucks.

Gilgil Sub-County Police Commander Winsone Mwakio confirmed the incident, noting that it left five people dead.
