Foreign national arrested in Diani over gun threat

An Austrian national has been arrested by officers from Diani Police Station for illegal possession of a firearm.

The suspect has been identified as 66-year-old Kruppik Tomasz, an Austrian citizen, who is alleged to have possessed the firearm unlawfully for approximately six years, for reasons that remain unclear.

According to police, the presence of the weapon had caused fear and concern among neighbours and residents in the area.

The suspect is said to have been apprehended after allegedly threatening another person with the firearm.

He is currently being held at Diani Police Station pending court proceedings to face the charges.
