Gachagua: 2027 polls will be a smooth sail for President Ruto

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said Saturday he is confident President William Ruto will secure a second term in the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during a tour of Busia County, the DP said his boss sailed through major obstacles set up by his competitors to frustrate his 2022 presidential bid, terming the next polls a downhill task.

“They tried to frustrate him but because there is God, Kenyans voted for him and he defeated them. They had set up obstacles for him. Won’t the 2027 election be a downhill task?” posed Gachagua.

“I know you Busia people because I have worked here before, you are very intelligent. I know when the time comes, you will choose the right leader for this country.”

Opposition leader Raila Odinga commands a large following in Busia County and the larger Western region.
