Gachagua, who was in Kajiado County on Saturday, said not only the Mt Kenya region but several other regions have joined the united opposition and their push to kick out President Ruto out of office due to poor leadership and unfulfilled promises.
Speaking in Oloitoktok, Gachagua laughed off President Ruto's confidence of a second term in office, saying he has no numbers to brag that he will remain in office after the August 10th, 2027 general election.
"Huyo Ruto mlima imemtoroka... Wakamba wamemtoroka... Maa hawamtaki sasa atatoa wapi kura ya kubaki kwa ofisi... Gachagua says President Ruto that was once a Mount Kenya region darling and they have now abandoned him," he said.
DCP leaders told the Kajiado South voters to back Gachagua's presidential bid, adding that he stands a better chance to fly the opposition flag compared to other opposition leaders.
John Nyutu added, "Tukiangalia hapa Maa land tutaweka Gachagua ofisini... ukitaka kuinua lorry lazima ukuwe na jack kubwa na huyo ndio Riggy G."
Karungo on his part said, "Sisi tumeamua Rigathi Gachagua lazima afike kwa debe."
The leaders accused President Ruto of what they termed as lies in office.
"Ruto alidanganya vijana wa boda boda ati watapanda wafike kwa Probox sahi wako wapi," said Mejja Ndong.
Gachagua added, "Angalia mlima akatudanganya akaongea na ulimi ya bibilia m tukasema ndio huyo kiongozi kumbe ni fisi amevalia ngozi ya kondoo."
In Homa Bay County, Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka rallied the Nyanza region to back his presidential bid, faulting President Ruto's administration projects.
