the Machakos County Assembly, outlining achievements, ongoing projects, and
future plans for the devolved unit.
The address, a

Act, is intended to promote transparency and accountability by providing
residents with updates on government progress.
Governor Ndeti
highlighted gains made across all county departments during her
three-and-a-half-year tenure, citing improvements in food security, social
programs, and economic opportunities under the county’s guiding vision,
“Chakula Mezani, Pesa Mfukoni.”
“We gather here
today, united by a common bond and shared destiny. I rise to fulfill a
constitutional obligation,” she said, emphasizing collaboration between the
executive, Members of the County Assembly, and residents as key to inclusive
development.
The Governor urged
citizens to actively participate in building a “prosperous, inclusive, and
vibrant county,” noting that the journey toward a greater Machakos remains
ongoing.
