A ten-year-old Grade Four pupil is
recovering at Homa Bay County Teaching & Referral Hospital after being attacked by
classmates.
The girl, who serves as the class
secretary, was reportedly assaulted after listing the names of noisemakers,
leading to their punishment by the teacher.
According to reports, the irate noisemakers
got back at her after the punishment and beat the minor, resulting in serious
injuries.
The girl was left paralysed in both her
lower limbs.
Medical staff are closely monitoring her
condition as investigations into the attack continue.
