Harrison Kombe of ODM overwhelmingly wins Magarini Parliamentary by-election

Harrison Kombe of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party
has been declared the MP-elect for Magarini Constituency after garnering 17,909
votes in Thursday’s by-election.
The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) candidate Stanley Kenga
came a distant second with 8,907 votes, while Ngumbao Furaha Chengo of the
Democratic National Alliance (DNA) secured 227 votes at third place.
The other candidates gathered the following votes: Amos Katana
(Independent) – 182; Karisa Hamadi Chadi (Roots Party) – 138; Kwicha Jacob
Themo (Federal Party) – 70; Kalama Emmanuel Kitsao (The We Alliance Party) – 60.
Wiper Patriotic Front candidate Nzai Samuel Kombe received 58
votes, Gakahu Sarah Wahito of Kenya Moja secured 12 votes, the Kenya Social Congress
aspirant Masha John Sulubu came last with 10 votes.
