This is after Haji shed light on his relationship with Kinoti, saying it was impaired by mistrust hence the spat between the two agencies and that Kinoti should face the wrath of justice for breaching the law.
"If somebody broke the law, they would have to face the law. Even if it is him (Kinoti), even if it is me. You have to face the law. There are no two ways about it. Because if we let this go then it will become a norm in Kenya," he said speaking to KTN.
MP Wa Muchomba has now opined that Kinoti has been linked to a series of misdoings by the investigative branch he was leading and should therefore face the law.
"If Haji is recommending that former DCI boss Kinoti should be arrested then so be it, he should be arrested," she said speaking on Citizen TV's Daybreak Show on Tuesday.
She went on to note that Haji was not best placed to voice his appalling sentiments earlier on because he was working under coercion.
"It means that there was a cloud on top of his career that he could not be able to overcome then. He needed some freedom to breathe out," he said.
Kinoti has in the past few days been put on the spot after a senior DCI superintendent, who was leading a team investigating a Ksh.7.4 billion graft case against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, revealed that he was pushed Kinoti to recommend charges be pressed against him and his nine co-accused.
He said that his team was given 'very strict and fixed' timelines to come up with findings promptly' which made him and his team unable to conduct thorough and comprehensive investigations into the allegations.
