The Principal Secretary nominee for Interior and National Administration ministry Raymond Omollo has revealed that he is worth Ksh.450 million.

During a vetting exercise in Parliament on Monday before the Administration and Internal Affairs Committee, Omollo claimed that he has acquired the wealth from land and property ownership in Kajiado, Machakos, Nairobi, Kisumu and Homa Bay.

He also noted that he holds shares in a number of companies, invested in stocks and the money market and also practices farming.

Omollo was the sixth nominee to sit on the hot seat after Chris Kiptoo (National Treasury), James Muhati (Economic Planning), Philip Harsama (Crop Development), Harry Kimutai (Livestock Development) and Julius Korir (Cabinet Affairs).

He is currently the Managing Director at the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) since his appointment in 2019.

Omollo boasts of vast experience working in the non-profit Research and Development organization management industry.

He is skilled in Data Management, Statistical Data Analysis, Epidemiology, and Statistical Modeling. He has a PhD in Applied Statistics.

In the afternoon, the Health committee will vet current Labour PS Eng. Peter Tum before Dr. Josephine Mburu faces the same panel.
