Two bodyguards of businessman Jimi Wanjigi will continue being held in police custody.

This was after an application to have the two casual workers released from police custody was rejected by a Magistrate Court.

Milimani Chief Magistrate Bernard Ochoi in his ruling said there are sufficient reasons to detain them pending investigations.

The two, Duncan Odhiambo and Calvin Ochieng, through lawyer Willis Otieno asked the court to review its decision saying the state had no reason to detain them.

Otieno called for their release, claiming they had evidence of the security officers planting explosives at Wanjigi's home.

On Monday, Wanjigi obtained court orders restraining police from entering his homes or business premises.
