A millitary chopper carrying Chief of Defence Forces Francis Ogolla on Thursday afternoon crashed at the Sindar area in Elgeyo Marakwet county.

The chopper was reportedly carrying 11 other people at the time it went down.

President William Ruto is set to make a formal announcement and give an update to the country on the accident.
