Tecra Wangari Muigai, the daughter of Keroche Breweries CEO Tabitha Karanja, was laid to rest on Saturday in a private ceremony in Naivasha.

The send-off ceremony held at the family’s home adjacent to the Keroche Enterprise in Karai area was graced by leaders from the business and political circles led by ODM Party chief Raila Odinga and Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui.

Her body was transported from the Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi with the ceremony kicking off at 10am.

Tecra died on May 3, 2020 following a tragic accident in Lamu.

Other leaders who attended the burial included Senators James Orengo and Moses Wetangula, MPs Jane Kihara, Moses Kuria, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris and NARC-K leader Martha Karua among other dignitaries.

Investigations are still ongoing into the circumstances that led to Tecra Muigai’s death.

Her boyfriend Omar Lali with whom she is reported to have been with on the ill-fated day remains in police custody.
