Addressing residents on Friday, Kindiki said progress had been made on building modern markets, with the Naromoru and Endarasha markets among projects he said are nearing completion.

However, Kindiki said that Kiawara Market, valued at Ksh. 1.2 billion had stalled.

The Deputy President warned the contractor undertaking the Kiawara project over the delays and called for follow-up, saying he would return to ensure that it was completed.

Kindiki's remarks come as the government steps up inspections of ongoing development projects, with the administration saying it is prioritising the completion of stalled infrastructure projects and clearing outstanding payments to contractors.

Kindike continued with his BETA campaigns, urging residents to support him and the government to ensure projects continued.
