Kisumu: Police probe deadly house fire that killed two minors

The incident occurred at around 6pm on Monday evening, according to a police report.

The two boys, aged seven and three, were inside the house when the fire broke out.

Both were burnt beyond recognition.

A third sibling, who was also in the house at the time, survived after being rescued by neighbours who rushed to the scene upon noticing the fire.

The tragedy has left residents of Kogelo village in shock, with many struggling to comprehend the circumstances that led to the deaths of the two children.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations based in Ahero, working alongside officers from Boya, visited the scene and have launched investigations to establish the cause of the fire.

Police say further details will be provided once investigations are complete.
