Krop wins 5,000m at World Championships trials

World 5000m silver medallist Jacob Krop is targeting to upgrade his medal at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Krop took victory ahead of Daniel Simiu who finished second after claiming victory in the 10,000m race yesterday.

" I think I am up to the task to win a gold medal. I am not worried about Ethiopians and Ugandans," he said.

Cornelius Kemboi sealed the podium but will await the selection panel to confirm his participation in the global event.
