Lamu: Man injured in knife attack in Amu Island

A 25-year-old man was seriously injured after being attacked and stabbed with a machete by unidentified youths in Kinooni area on Amu Island, Lamu County.
According to reports, Mansuri Yussuf, a resident of Garden, was seeking revenge against the youths from Wiyoni over fights that had occurred earlier.
He was followed and ambushed in Kinooni, where he was stabbed in the head and hand.
The attackers have gone into hiding as police officers continue to pursue them.
The injured young man is receiving treatment at King Fahad Hospital on Amu Island.
This incident comes amid reports of a rise in cases of machete attacks on Pate Island and Amu Island.
