Kayole Starlets head coach Mary Adhiambo has lauded striker Lindah Kihara for her outstanding performances this season, describing her as a key pillar in the team’s attacking force in the Women’s Premier League.
Lindah has been in fine form, netting four goals in six league matches, a contribution that has significantly boosted Kayole Starlets’ campaign so far.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, coach Adhiambo noted that Lindah’s work rate, sharp finishing, and dedication during training have made a noticeable impact on the team’s overall performance, both on and off the ball.
“Whe Lindah came , we sat down down and said what I wanted from her. We didn't have a seasoned forward, but she has shown great commitment and hunger in front of goal,” said Adhiambo.
Looking ahead, the coach also shared her optimism as the team prepares for a challenging weekend encounter against Ulinzi Starlets. She revealed that the squad has been training intensely, focusing on tactical discipline, defensive organization, and improving their transition play.
Adhiambo expressed belief that her side has what it takes to pick the three points, citing the players’ positive attitude and readiness to execute the game plan.
“We respect Ulinzi Starlets as a strong opponent, but our preparations have been thorough. We expect a very tough encounter,” she added.
With Lindah Kihara leading the charge and the team showing growing confidence, Kayole Starlets will be looking to translate their preparation into a strong performance as they aim to strengthen their position in the league standings.
