Man handed 15-year jail term for defiling minor in Machakos

A man was on Wednesday sentenced to 15 years in prison after he was found guilty of defiling a minor.

According to a report by the Office of the Director of  Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the accused, Alloys Waema Ndunge, committed the offence on 1st November 2021 at Kikambuani Trading Centre, Kangundo Sub-county, within Machakos County. 

The prosecution called a total of four witnesses who gave collaborative evidence against the accused.

The court ruled that the prosecution led by counsel Mirriam Mwaure and Salome Koinnet proved its case to the standard provided by the law.
