Residents of Kamara Village in Nakuru lynched up a man and burnt him down after the man is said to have burnt up his three year old son in a charcoal kiln.

The residents were aggrieved by the man, Joseph Ndirangu’s actions, who they say is a habitual drunkard and drug abuser.

Joseph Ndirangu, 33, is said to have first hit the son with a piece of wood before carrying him some 400 meters away where he did the heinous act.

According to neighbors, Ndirangu married his wife when she had already given birth to the late boy and his twin brother.

Police arrived some two hours late and took the remains of the father and son to Molo Sub County Hospital Mortuary.

Locals blamed the incident to increased manufacturing of illicit brews in the area as well as laxity by local administrators.
