Man killed in hit-and-run incident in Kirinyaga County

According to residents of Kimbimbi, led by Irungu Mwangi, the unidentified man’s body was discovered lying along the road at around 3 a.m.

It is suspected that the man was run over by a speeding vehicle.

Irate residents confronted police officers, accusing them of arriving late at the scene of the incident.

Police officers subsequently took the body to Kerugoya mortuary.

Authorities have called on members of the public who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and provide information to aid the investigation.

Residents of Kirinyaga have expressed concern over the increasing number of accidents along the highway, attributing the incidents to reckless driving.
