The Media Council of Kenya has condemned the murder of Moses Omusolo, a journalist who was attached to the Standard Media Group.

Omusolo, who worked as a business reporter, was found dead inside an open trench along Kangundo Road, Kayole on Wednesday night.

According to the police, the journalist had suffered a cut on the head, and his mobile phone and personal identification documents were found intact at the scene of crime.

Now, the Media Council wants police officers to conduct speedy investigations into the death of Omusolo, and instigate appropriate judicial action against the perpetrators.

The journalist recently got engaged, and was planning to wed in February 2023.

Police are yet to establish the motive behind the killing of Omusolo.
