Meet Ruth Mutua, communications expert seeking to be Kenya's next Deputy President

Mrs. Mutua, a Communications, Management and Administrative expert, was thrust into the public limelight on June 11, 2022, when she was unveiled as the running mate of Agano Party Presidential candidate Mwaure Waihiga.

Ruth Mutua is a middle-aged mother of young daughters with over 15 years of experience in the corporate world.

Education

She attended State House Primary School before joining Visa Oshwal Girls High School.

After completing her High School Education, Mrs Mutua joined Kenya Institute of Business Training where she pursued a Diploma in Logistics, Materials, and Supply chain management.

She later secured admission to the University of Nairobi where she undertook a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Sociology between 2010 and 2014.

Work Experience

Mrs Mutua has previously worked for Ruchaga Investments, Sadolin Paints and Telkom (Orange).

At Telcom (Orange) she served as Corporate Customer Care Representative, Business Market - Order & Contract Specialist and Sales Administration Manager - Enterprise Division; a position she still holds to date.

She is also the Key Account Manager for Rotor Scientific (EA) limited.

If elected in the upcoming elections, Ms Mutua has promised that the Agano Party administration will prioritise the fight against corruption.
