Mutuma appeared at the DCI office on Wednesday after he was summoned following Sunday’s protests during Governor Kawira Mwangaza's 'Okolea Program’ function at Makiri, Igembe South Constituency.
According to a video seen by Citizen Digital, DG Mutuma arrived at the office while accompanied by the sleuths and some of his supporters.
He was later seen being whisked away into the office as his supporters waited outside.
Mutuma and her boss, Governor Mwangaza have been engaged in a bitter leadership brawl since the two leaders were elected to power.
The Sunday chaos saw angry residents slaughter one cow and burnt mattresses that Mwagaza had come to donate to the public at Makiri area, which is the home village of DG Mutuma.
She would later take to social media to blame Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi for the aftermath of the event.
“Evil will never leave the house of one who pays back evil for good. You have killed your own Leadership. I declare and decree in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen,” Mwangaza wrote.
“May the blood of the innocent cry before God, you will receive it back 7 times in Jesus' Mighty Name. Meanwhile ni Kumi bila brakes. Linturi and associates you will never occupy my position you have lost it all.”
DG Mutuma is also said to have been ill-treated by Governor Mwangaza since April with some of his office staff allegedly withdrawn, and vehicles and travel allowances being cut.
