Migori OCPD Moses Chepyegon died on Wednesday morning after collapsing in his office.

The OCPD was rushed to Migori Level 4 hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Doctors are yet to release an official statement on the cause of death however it is believed that the police boss suffered a heart attack that led to his death.

Migori Governor Okoth Obado was among area leaders who went to Migori Level 4 Hospital after receiving news of Mr Chepyegon’s sudden death.

This comes just two weeks after a 60-year-old man collapsed and died during a cross-examination in a Bomet court.

The man, Wilson Kipyegon Rotich, had appeared before Principal Magistrate Pamela Achieng to face charges of obtaining money by false pretense in 2013 in Bomet Town before he lost his breath and collapsed on the stand.

The magistrate immediately adjourned the hearing and ordered that he be rushed to the Bomet Health Centre.

According to Bomet County Commandant Leah Kithei, the accused was pronounced dead on arrival.
