Migori
Youth forward Syphas Otieno has emerged as one of the standout performers in
the National Super League this season, leading the score charts with six goals
after just nine matches.
The
in-form striker has now set his sights on an impressive personal milestone,
aiming to finish the campaign with at least 17 goals or more.
Despite
his flying start, Syphas admits he did not anticipate such a sharp beginning to
the season. His consistent performances in front of goal, however, have boosted
his confidence as he looks to maintain his momentum in the remaining 19 fixtures.
"I
did not imagine things would turn out this way. I'm scoring freely, away but at
home, that's where things are a bit hard. We are happy at the top and also, we
are taking each game at a time. My target is to score at least 17 goals and 10
assists," he said.
Beyond
his club success, the young striker harbours even bigger ambitions: to one day
represent the national team and, remarkably, play for Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid,
a testament to his belief and determination to reach the highest level of
football.
"My
dream is to play in Europe, especially Real Madrid. Our target is to continue
this way and win the league," he added.
With more matches still to play, Syphas remains optimistic about increasing his goal tally and continuing to inspire Migori Youth’s push for success this season.
