Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has brushed off critics claiming that his redeployment from the Trade Ministry by President William Ruto was a demotion.

Speaking on Thursday during the launch of Garissa Industrial Park, Kuria, in typical fashion, unleashed a no-holds-barred attack on persons he described as “enemies” who are celebrating that he was removed from the Trade docket within six months.

The CS instead maintained that he is ready to serve in his new docket which he says has the mandate to ensure service delivery to Kenyans by all other ministries.

Kuria went on to mock his so-called enemies, saying they would soon be baffled by his outstanding performance so much so that they would return to the President to ask for his redeployment.

“I want you to know that if it bothered you to have that one ministry, how do you feel now that I'm coordinating all the ministries?" posed Kuria.

He added: “I have gathered many enemies, and I am not concerned because in our land, we are like elephants; are not defeated by their tusks.”

The CS went on to challenge anyone who has a problem with him to buckle up because he is about to streamline the public service starting Monday, October 9.

“Let them come, whoever they may be, I will continue to strive and uplift Kenya. And if you don't like me, begin to write... I can bet one thing. Those celebrating that I was removed from this ministry, within 6 months, will go to the president exclaiming, 'Eee! It's too much, remove him from here again, “ Kuria continued.

The new cabinet secretary says he is confident that he can handle any ministry given to him.

"I am now in charge of the public service, a position handed over to me by Aisha Jumwa, who is now in the gender ministry. Had I been given that ministry, I know I would have delivered effectively.

Kuria says he will diligently tackle his new job, taking time to navigate across Kenya, ensuring that the government succeeds in the plans promised to our people.

“I will work with the same zeal I've had to uplift trade, exports, manufacturing, and industrial parks…I intend to set this government straight," he said.
