Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) men's basketball team head coach Robert Mugabe has praised his players' continued improvement after the Dockers secured two convincing victories in the National Men's Basketball Premier League over the weekend.

KPA began their weekend with an 88-73 victory over Eldonets Platinum before cruising to an emphatic 83-47 win against ANU Wolfpacks at their home court, Makande Gymnasium in Mombasa, on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

The two victories saw the Dockers climb to 32 points from 17 matches, having won 15 and lost just two. They remain second on the league standings, six points behind unbeaten leaders and defending champions Nairobi City Thunder.

Despite the impressive results, Mugabe insists his side still has room for improvement as they shift their focus towards the playoffs.

"The weekend games were good and gave us a big boost. There has been great improvement, but we are still not where I want us to be. We still have to keep pushing ourselves and continue working to become even better as we approach the playoffs.

"So far, I'm impressed with the teamwork and the effort the players are putting in. I believe everything is going to be well," said Mugabe.

With the regular season entering its final stretch, KPA will be aiming to maintain their winning momentum and fine-tune their performance as they seek to challenge for the league title in the postseason.
