Former Harambee Stars head coach Twahir Muhiddin says Adrian Kibet's move to La Liga side Celta Vigo will open more doors to many Kenyan players to move abroad.
According to Twahir,
more scouts will be monitoring Kenyan players, with a view of tapping their
talents courtesy of Kibet achievements, which will be beneficial to the
country's football.
“This is a great
move for him and it will open more doors for many other upcoming players in the
country, because scouts will flock the country to look for more of such talent,”
said Twahir.
Muhiddin at the
same time rubberstamped the move, arguing it would help the forward develop
more technically during his time with the La liga side.
“He will improve both technically and physically
and that will be useful to the national team because he will bring that experience
to the team,” added Twahir.
The former
national team technical director went on to praise the former St. Antony Kitale
forward for his discipline and hard work that has played a key part to his
rise, catching the eye of Celta Vigo scouts and coaches.
“He is
disciplined, works very hard, and always tries to improve each and every day,
that is why he has risen that much,” he explained. “He is a role model to many
in the society,”stated the former Bandari FC coach
