Musingu High School are determined to reclaim their national football crown after falling short in last year’s final, head coach Branden Mwinamo has said.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Mwinamo expressed confidence in his squad’s preparation ahead of next term’s school games, noting that the team has remained active through training sessions and friendly matches.

“We are putting in the hard work required for us to reclaim the title. The players did not break for the holidays—we have been training and playing friendlies, and I believe we will be ready for the competition,” said Mwinamo.

Musingu finished runners-up after losing to St. Joseph’s Kitale in the final. Despite the departure of four key players who have completed their High School education, the coach remains optimistic about the team’s depth.

“Four key players completed their studies here, but we have proper systems in place. I believe those who have replaced them are up to the task,” he added.

Nicknamed the Scorpions, Musingu currently sit at the top of the county league standings—something Mwinamo believes is sharpening the team ahead of the national stage.

“We are top of the table in the county league because of the hard work we have put in. At the same time, we are gaining valuable experience and exposure,” stated the head coach.
