Mutai lauds KCF after impressive African Championships in Kwale

Sasha Mutai has hailed the organization of the second edition of the Africa
Cycling Championship, which took place in Kwale County from November 19th to 23rd.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Mutai said that every stakeholder involved
in the organization delivered on their part, hence the success of the event.
“The event was very successful because it was well coordinated
by all the stakeholders who were involved. The government played a huge
role. Kwale County gave a lot of support, and all the sponsors on board
make it a success,” said Mutai.
Mutai also highlighted the NOC-K vision for the 2028 Olympic Games
in Los Angeles, saying they aim to make sure that many disciplines are included
in the traveling squad to increase the chances of Kenya harvesting many medals.
“As Team New Dawn, we want to make sure that in the next Olympic
Games, we want to harvest as many gold medals as possible. That is why we
are empowering all the federations under NOCK to be ready for 2028.
He thanked the government for supporting many international
events in the country, saying that it increases sports tourism, hence improving
the economy of the country.
“The more sports events we host, the more we develop sports tourism,
like last weekend we had cycling, BAL, and many more that we are looking
forward to, which will help develop the economy of our country,” stated the
executive member
