A sitting Member of County Assembly (MCA) and two other suspects were on Tuesday charged before the Makadara Law Courts over an alleged violent robbery in Nairobi's Donholm area.
According to the Directorate of
Criminal Investigations (DCI), Viwandani Ward MCA Aaron Kang'ara Wangari,
alongside Kefa Munyoro and Zablon Kirima Mwangi, was arraigned and charged with
robbery with violence.
The three are accused of
attacking and violently robbing three victims during an incident that occurred
in Donholm on June 26, 2026, before fleeing the scene.
The DCI said investigations
linked the trio to the robbery, leading to their arrest and subsequent
arraignment before the Makadara Law Courts.
All three suspects pleaded not
guilty to the charges.
The court released each of the
accused on a bond of Ksh.1 million or an alternative cash bail of Ksh.500,000
pending the hearing and determination of the case.
The case will be mentioned on a date to be set by the court as
investigations and trial proceedings continue.
