The Green Room, unveiled this week at ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands, is designed to host cocktails, private events, and creative gatherings entirely on solar power.
The space demonstrates how sustainability is increasingly becoming a competitive advantage in Kenya’s fast-evolving hospitality sector, as operators seek to combine environmental responsibility with enhanced guest experiences.
Thomas Simonnet, General Manager at ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands, said the project “represents our commitment to a greener future” and underscores the hotel’s focus on eco-friendly innovation.
The launch also introduced two other revamped spaces: The Roof, a rooftop destination offering panoramic views, curated cocktails, and live entertainment, and Kilele Nyama, the hotel’s signature flame-grilled restaurant, now refreshed with a modern menu and expanded drink offerings.
By integrating renewable energy with creative design and dynamic social spaces, ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands is positioning itself as a model for responsible hospitality in Kenya, highlighting the potential for sustainability to shape both the guest experience and the city’s hospitality landscape.
