Nairobi’s retail and entertainment scene is about to get a facelift with the grand opening of Rhapta Promenade Mall, slated for Friday, August 1, 2025.

Touted as the city’s newest premier lifestyle destination, the mall is already 85 percent occupied and promises to bring a fresh blend of sophistication, culture, and community engagement to the heart of the capital.

Anchored by Carrefour on the ground floor, Rhapta Promenade blends a curated mix of retail, dining, and wellness spaces, positioning itself as more than just a shopping centre.

From local fashion and artisanal brands to immersive dining and essential services, the mall aims to be a space “where lifestyle, entertainment, and community converge.”

“Rhapta Promenade Mall is envisioned as the vibrant new heartbeat of our neighbourhood – a place where curated lifestyle experiences meet timeless elegance, all woven together with the rich tapestry of local culture,” said Imran Noorani, CEO of Rhapta Promenade and a key figure at Premium Group Kenya, the developer behind the project.

Strategically located to serve an emerging and increasingly sophisticated urban population, the mall was deliberately positioned in a neighbourhood Noorani describes as “growing and vibrant, with residents seeking elevated, convenient lifestyle experiences.”

Beyond its tenant mix – which includes homegrown names like Zammiluni, Foremen, and Ikwetta alongside international brands – Rhapta Promenade distinguishes itself with an open-air, hybrid design and cutting-edge amenities.

From smart parking systems to cashierless shopping options, the mall aims to provide a seamless and modern visitor experience.

Its design also embraces sustainability, with the use of locally sourced materials and environmentally friendly, low-VOC finishes, aligning the development with international green building standards.

The mall is also preparing to become a cultural epicentre, with seasonal events, rooftop amenities, and community spaces woven into its architectural and programming DNA.
