Muranga Seals head coach Vincent Nyaberi says their sole agenda in their first season in the Kenya Premier League will be to avoid relegation.

Nyaberi admits that remaining in the top flight is a daunting task having previously coached Thika United in the league.

He has, however, noted that his side is equal to the task since some of his players have played in the top-flight league before.

He revealed that he has psychologically prepared his side for the challenge and believes they are ready to take the bull by the horns.

“I have spoken to the players about the challenge ahead, and I believe they are ready for it. We have all agreed that our biggest agenda next season is to avoid relegation by all means, even before we plan on anything else,” said Nyaberi.

Nyaberi, however, mentioned that the experience of playing in the top league will be different. He pointed out that the stadia used in the National Super League (NSL) have low-quality grounds compared to the standard playing grounds used in the FKPL.

“The experience is going to be completely different, and we are aware of it, especially when we compare the level of stadia we had in NSL with those we have in this top league,” noted Nyaberi.

Seals secured a spot in the Top Flight last weekend after registering a 1-0 win against Coastal Heroes at Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa after a relentless fight for the slot in previous seasons.
