Nyamira: Police probe suspected poisoning deaths of mother and two children

The bodies of the woman, identified as Eunice Moturi, and her two children—a nine-year-old girl and a six-year-old boy—were found near a riverside in Isincha Village, Kiogutwa Sub-location.

The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain unclear.

Officers from Sengera Police Station visited the scene, documented the incident, and recorded statements from residents before transferring the bodies to the Christamarianne Hospital mortuary in Kisii for preservation and further examination.

Tombe Sub-location Chief Abel Oroti confirmed the incident, noting that preliminary observations point to poisoning as the likely cause of death. He added, however, that police have commenced comprehensive investigations to establish the events leading up to the tragedy.
