Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Charles Odero has praised his
players for a dominant performance after the millers thrashed Darajani Gogo 4–1
in a National Super League (NSL) clash on Monday, describing it as one of their
most complete displays of the season.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Odero said his side rose to the
challenge against a seasoned opponent, adding that the emphatic win provided a
major boost to their campaign.
"It was a tough team to play against because of the
quality of players they have. It was a good show from the boys because we have
been winning with small margins and drawing," Odero noted.
The tactician highlighted his youthful squad’s sharpness in
front of goal, noting that their ability to convert chances made the difference
as they kicked off the year in style.
"Football is a game of chances, if you get yours, you
must utilize them well. I give thanks to the boys. We have started the year on
a positive note." Odero said.
The victory lifts Nzoia Sugar to sixth place on the NSL
standings with 26 points from 16 matches, keeping them firmly in the hunt for
promotion as the season gathers momentum.
The millers will now look to build on the result as they push for consistency in the remaining fixtures.
