Nairobi Restaurant Week (NRW) will return from January 22 to
February 1, 2026, bringing together more than 70 restaurants across the capital
for a 10-day dining festival.
The annual event, organised by
EatOut, has received official endorsement from the Ministry of Tourism, Magical
Kenya and the Nairobi City County government, placing it among key events on
the country’s tourism and hospitality calendar.
During the festival,
participating restaurants will offer limited-edition menus created specifically
for the event.
The organisers say the initiative aims to showcase the range
and standards of Nairobi’s dining scene, spanning contemporary African cuisine
and international fine dining.
EatOut General Manager Wendy
Lorenze said the event provides a platform for local chefs to present their
work while giving diners a curated dining experience across the city.
"Through NRW2026, we aim to put a spotlight on the
craftsmanship of our local chefs and provide diners with an unforgettable
experience. We are honored to have the continued support of our industry partners
as we celebrate the best of what Nairobi has to offer," said Ms. Lorenze.
Nairobi Restaurant Week is part of
a global concept held in major cities such as Dubai, London and New York, where
restaurants offer specially designed menus for a limited period to attract new
diners and promote culinary tourism.
Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja
said the county government supports the event as a way of promoting the city as
a culinary destination and highlighting local talent within the hospitality
industry.
Magical Kenya, which has endorsed the 2026 edition, said such
events play a role in positioning Nairobi as a leading culinary hub on the
continent, targeting both local and international visitors.
EatOut, the organiser of the
festival, operates a digital restaurant guide and reservation platform in
Kenya, handling over one million seat reservations annually in Nairobi.
