Murang’a Seal are enjoying a remarkable 2025/2026 campaign in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), rising from relegation scraps to a title contender as they seek to defy expectations.

At the heart of that rise is 18-year-old winger Paul Osama, whose heroics have propelled the club to fourth in the league standings with 33 points, just 10 behind leaders Gor Mahia.

With nine wins, six draws, and five defeats so far, Murang’a Seal’s strong run has been fuelled by teamwork, discipline, and emerging young talent.

Osama has contributed three goals and two assists this season, quickly becoming one of the most exciting young prospects in the league.

In an exclusive interview with Citizen Digital, the teenage sensation expressed confidence in his rapid adaptation to top-flight football.

“It has been a tough first season in the KPL, but now I can say I have comfortably settled in the league. In the first leg, I played 14 out of 17 matches, scored two goals, and my target is to score 15 goals and provide 10 assists,” said Osama.

The former Mombasa United winger believes young players are ready to shape the future of Kenyan football, emphasising hunger and ambition as key drivers behind his progress.

“I am talented, but most importantly, I have the push and eagerness to dream big and achieve more. That has driven me from the National Super League to the KPL,” he added.

Osama also highlighted the growing influence of youth in the league.

“As youngsters, we are the future of the KPL. We can play more matches and more minutes, and that makes the difference between the veterans and us,” he noted.

His impressive performances have not gone unnoticed. Reports indicate that clubs from Sweden and Belgium are monitoring the teenage winger closely, raising the possibility of a European move in the near future.

If his trajectory continues, Osama may soon become Murang’a Seal’s next major export to international football.
