Police in Nyandarua have launched a manhunt for a man suspected to be behind the sale of illicit brew.

Nyandarua Police Commander Omar Arero said over 90 crates of illicit brew were found at the suspect’s home.

“The second generation brew was found hidden at a residential home in Nyandarua,” Arero said.

He added that the operation was conducted at the home in Riverside Estate in Ol' Joro Orok Constituency.

“The sub-standard brew was packed in dirty bottles which did not bear KRA stickers or the KEBS mark of quality,” he added.

No arrests were made by police officers during the raid.

“We are pursuing the suspect who took off after getting wind of the planned raid. We will arrest him and have the suspect prosecuted in accordance with the law,” he noted.
